Krishnakant Jha
Krishnakant Jha, born 1966 Jitwar, Madhubani is one of the very few male exponents of the art form. Something about the style of his artworks has kept the actual sense of age old art, he has great colour combinations for his paintings. His mother Bhagvati Devi, a painter in the Geru style, trained him in his formative years, and later he studied under the great Sita Devi. Hailing from Jitwarpur, Jha belongs to the Mahapatra Brahmin community.The makers first piece to be offered at auction was "Untitled (Madhubani Painting)" at Saffronart Mumbai in 2022.
